IFIN-HH, Măgurele.
CIPRIERN organized a technical visit to IFIN-HH, at the Radioactive Waste Treatment Plant. The visit was attended by CNCAN representatives and Gordon Asartenga Ajubala and Lennox Assan – experts from the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Ghana.
The program included technical presentations on the radioactive waste treatment process, as well as a tour of the environmental sample monitoring laboratories.
The visit provided practical insight into:
- The history of radioactive waste management in Romania;
- The differentiated methods for treatment and storage of radioactive waste;
- Environmental radioactivity monitoring methods and processes.
Main objectives:
- Gaining a practical understanding of radioactive waste management.
